General Manager (New Restaurant Opening)
Location: Manchester, NH
We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on General Manager for an exciting new hybrid restaurant concept opening in Manchester, NH. This unique, fast-paced venue seamlessly blends morning coffee and breakfast service, a fast-casual lunch operation, and a full bar with dinner service. Operating seven days a week from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM, this location requires a dedicated professional who thrives on the floor and excels at operational execution.
The foundational work is complete. Our standard operating procedures, recipes, and hiring systems are fully established, and a team of 25 employees is already in place. We are looking for an experienced leader who can step into this fast-moving opening environment, absorb our systems quickly, and guide the team through a successful launch in the coming weeks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations from the floor while maintaining a calm and commanding presence during high-volume daypart transitions.
- Manage labor, food, and liquor costs to achieve strict operational targets.
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and labor management to ensure consistent speed and quality of service.
- Enforce prep systems, cleanliness standards, and food safety protocols.
- Train, coach, and hold hourly team members accountable to operational standards.
- Solve problems in real time and step into operational stations whenever necessary.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experienced Operator: You must have proven General Manager experience with a stable work history and prior experience opening new restaurants.
- Hands-On Leader: You prefer leading from the floor rather than managing from an office. You operate with urgency without creating chaos.
- System-Driven: You respect established standard operating procedures and execute them with discipline.
- Industry Background: Strong backgrounds include high-volume brunch concepts, fast-casual operations, or labor-heavy models like Chipotle, Cava, or Starbucks.
- Additional Skills: Bilingual candidates are highly preferred.
Compensation and Performance Structure
This role offers a highly competitive compensation package designed to reward operational excellence and profitability.
- Base Salary: $80,000 to $85,000 annually.
- Performance Bonus: Up to $2,000 per month (an additional $24,000 annual potential) based on labor cost control, food cost control, liquor cost control, and operational scorecard performance.
- Schedule: Approximately 55 to 57 hours per week in a fast-moving, dynamic environment.
