Chef Manager

Location: Marlborough, MA

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Employment Type: Full-Time

The right culinary leader doesn't just execute a menu, they dictate the pace of the operation and set the standard for the entire team.

We are partnering with an evolving corporate dining group to identify a Chef Manager for their Marlborough location. This operation is designed to elevate the workplace dining experience, and we need an operator who understands high-volume production, team stability, and uncompromising food quality.

The Role

As Chef Manager, you own the kitchen operations. You will manage daily production, maintain strict safety standards, and lead a culinary team focused on delivering a consistent, high-level guest experience.

The hospitality industry demands a lot, but this role offers something rare: a true daytime schedule. Monday through Friday, with no nights and no weekends, giving you the balance to sustain a long-term career without burning out.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations Leadership: Direct all kitchen flow, from prep to line service, ensuring consistent execution during peak volume.
  • Team Development: Train, manage, and retain a cohesive culinary staff. Building a strong culture is just as important as building a strong menu.
  • Quality Control: Enforce strict recipe specifications and presentation standards. Consistency is non-negotiable.
  • Financial & Inventory Management: Control food costs, monitor inventory accurately, and streamline ordering to protect the P&L.
  • Safety & Compliance: Uphold rigorous sanitation, food safety, and local health regulations.

Qualifications

  • Experience: A proven background in kitchen management or lead culinary roles, specifically within fast-paced, high-volume dining environments.
  • Leadership: The ability to command a kitchen, train staff, and hold a team accountable to shared operational goals.
  • Culinary Expertise: A strong foundation in modern cooking techniques, recipe adherence, and safe preparation practices.
  • Communication: Clear, direct communication skills with staff, management, and guests.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to navigate a commercial kitchen safely, work effectively in walk-in refrigerators and freezers, stand for extended shifts, and lift up to 25 lbs.

Why Join This Team?

  • The Schedule: A guaranteed Monday to Friday schedule (6:00 AM to 3:00 PM). Get your nights and weekends back.
  • The Culture: Step into an organization that values operational stability, professional respect, and a positive workplace.
  • The Growth: Access real opportunities to advance your career within a forward-thinking hospitality group.
