The Role


We are seeking a motivated Sous Chef or strong Lead Line Cook ready to take the next step in their culinary career. You will work closely with a hands-on owner to execute an established menu and help successfully launch the upcoming patio season. This is an ideal position for a rising culinary professional looking for direct mentorship, a structured environment, and a consistent 45 to 50 hour work week.


Key Responsibilities


  • Culinary Execution: Work the line actively during dinner service to ensure top-tier quality and consistency for all dishes.
  • Kitchen Operations: Assist with daily operational tasks, maintaining organization and adherence to strict recipes and protocols.
  • Team Leadership: Communicate fluently in English to lead, mentor, and collaborate effectively with a diverse culinary crew.
  • Menu Production: Execute a high-end, farm-to-table menu using foundational scratch cooking techniques.


Requirements


  • Experience: Proven background in a fine dining environment with a strong grasp of culinary basics, including mother sauces and scratch cooking.
  • Communication: Fluent English speaking skills are required to facilitate clear communication and diversify kitchen leadership during busy services.
  • Attributes: Highly organized, adaptable, and eager to grow within a system-oriented kitchen.
  • Availability: Must be able to commit to 45 to 50 hours per week for evening services.
