Executive Chef

Location: North Miami Beach, FL

Gecko Hospitality is seeking an accomplished Chef to lead all back-of-house operations. With approximately $12 million in annual sales, this is a highly visible leadership role for a chef who has successfully managed complex, high-volume kitchens while maintaining consistent execution, strong financial performance, and disciplined kitchen operations.

This position is vacant and the ownership group is moving with urgency to identify the right leader. The interview process will be thorough, with an in-person meeting strongly preferred.

What You Will Do

• Lead all culinary operations for a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
• Build, coach, and hold accountable a large back-of-house management and hourly team.
• Drive consistency in food quality, presentation, execution, and guest satisfaction.
• Manage food and labor costs while maintaining profitability goals.
• Oversee scheduling, inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Develop and retain a high-performing culinary team through strong leadership and daily coaching.
• Partner with senior leadership to execute operational initiatives and support continued business growth.

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum 10 years of Executive Chef experience in high-volume, full-service restaurants.
• Demonstrated success leading kitchens generating multi-million-dollar annual sales.
• Strong operational discipline with a proven ability to manage costs without compromising quality.
• Experience leading large culinary teams with high standards of accountability.
• Calm, decisive leadership style with the ability to perform under pressure.
• Hands-on approach and willingness to be actively involved in daily operations.
• Stable career history with measurable accomplishments in previous leadership roles.

Compensation & Details

• Salary: $85,000–$90,000 annually
