What You’ll Have the Opportunity to Do

As the General Manager, you will lead the restaurant as if it were your own business.

You will build the management team, establish expectations and create a culture where people understand their responsibilities and feel supported in reaching them. You will also have the systems, training and resources needed to protect profitability and maintain consistently strong operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the restaurant’s daily operations and overall performance
• Recruiting, training and retaining managers and team members
• Coaching managers and preparing future leaders for advancement
• Managing sales, labor, food costs and controllable expenses
• Reviewing financial performance and developing improvement plans
• Creating effective schedules based on business needs
• Maintaining high standards for food quality, service and cleanliness
• Building accountability while keeping the team motivated and engaged
• Creating a welcoming experience for every guest
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and safety requirements
• Representing the restaurant professionally within the Gastonia community

What Will Make You Successful Here

You do not need to be the loudest person in the restaurant to be an effective leader.

The strongest candidates will bring:

• Five or more years of restaurant or retail management experience
• General Manager or high-level Assistant General Manager experience
• A proven ability to develop managers and hourly team members
• Experience managing restaurant financials, labor and food costs
• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills
• The ability to remain steady when the restaurant gets busy
• Comfort learning and using restaurant technology
• Flexibility to work days, evenings and weekends
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• A valid driver’s license

Experience with restaurant openings or local marketing is helpful but not required.
