Job Description
Hotel General Manager
Location: Barbados
Compensation: $80,000–$110,000 annually, paid monthly, plus performance bonus
This is a General Manager role for someone who brings caliber, P&L discipline, guest-experience polish, and the ability to lead a team that delivers on both. You'll own property performance end to end, from culture to occupancy to RevPAR, and help expand our growing Caribbean portfolio.
Performance Objectives
- Deliver strong year-one GOP margin improvement while maintaining outstanding guest-satisfaction scores.
- Grow occupancy and RevPAR within your first year through smart pricing, distribution, and local-market capture.
- Manage controllable costs closely without sacrificing service, backed by disciplined weekly labor and purchasing controls.
- Build and retain a high-performing team, with low turnover and a strong track record of promoting from within.
- Launch new revenue streams, whether F&B, meetings, or packages, that add meaningfully to the bottom line.
- Pass every brand and company quality audit with zero critical deficiencies.
Environment & Resources You'll report to the Regional Director of Operations and lead every department head on property, including rooms, F&B, and events. You'll have a dedicated operating budget, PMS/CRS access, corporate sales support, and a documented playbook of SOPs and training behind you. The property sits directly across from the beach in a destination that draws discerning leisure travelers and a steady stream of destination weddings.
Essential Qualifications
- A GM track record of hitting GOP, occupancy, and guest-score targets, validated by STR benchmarking, at a branded or independent property of similar scale.
- Hands-on P&L ownership, with the ability to forecast, price, and control labor and COGS.
- A track record of building teams that deliver consistent four-star service and low turnover.
- Working knowledge of brand standards, local regulations, and third-party owner reporting.
- Results first, guests always, people every day: that's the standard here, and you live it.
Role Selling Points
- Ground-floor impact on a growing, privately held management company, early enough for you to help shape the playbook.
- A Caribbean island posting with strong leisure and destination-wedding demand and none of the corporate-layer bureaucracy.
- A clear path to regional or multi-property leadership as we add assets.
- Competitive base, bonus tied to the metrics you control, and full benefits.
