This is Anna’s Edwards’ mom.  Just wanted to let you know that Anna is still on the bus, and unfortunately it doesn’t look like she will be getting home until after 6:00. Her bus didn’t even leave the school until around 4:10. Last year she was the first stop, but apparently this year she is one of the last stops.

Because of that, she isn’t going to be able to make practice today. By the time she gets home, she will still need to change and eat something, and she has to be at ACX at 7:30 tonight.

We are already working on a different transportation plan for the next two weeks until she finishes her driving lessons and takes her driving test with her instructor on August 24. Last year transportation was much easier because I was on an elementary school schedule, but now that I’m at the middle school in Chapin, I get out much later, which makes Tuesdays especially difficult. We are looking into having her take a bus straight to Irmo instead.

I’m so sorry for the inconvenience. The transportation office had told us that her regular bus would be fine and that she would be home around 4:10, which would have given her plenty of time to get to Irmo for practice. Obviously, that didn’t happen today! We will have another plan worked out by tomorrow so this doesn’t continue to be an issue and she can be on time for practice.
