In this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee the strategic direction, operational coordination, and financial performance of a diverse culinary portfolio, including three distinct restaurants, multiple high-volume banquet and wedding venues, seasonal outlets, and exclusive member events. Essential Job Functions

As the Director of Food & Beverage, you will hold full Profit & Loss responsibility for the department and champion a culture of hospitality excellence. Key responsibilities include:


  • Culinary & Operational Leadership: Partner closely with the Executive Chef to design, cost, and execute innovative menus across all dining rooms, bars, and banquet operations.


  • Quality & Safety Assurance: Maintain flawless quality standards by inspecting food preparation areas, enforcing strict sanitation guidelines, and monitoring safe food-handling practices.


  • Strategic Growth & Marketing: Set the creative vision for all food and beverage outlets. Develop revenue-driving strategies and collaborate with marketing teams to boost venue presence and engagement.


  • Inventory & Vendor Management: Order all alcoholic beverages through licensed distributors, manage internal beverage transfers, and maintain strict inventory controls for all supplies and equipment. Negotiate with vendors to ensure competitive pricing.


  • Team Development: Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate a high-performing hospitality team. Establish and regularly facilitate comprehensive service, hospitality, and alcohol-safety training programs.


  • Guest & Member Relations: Maintain a strong, visible presence across all outlets to proactively track satisfaction, resolve complaints swiftly, and build lasting rapport with members and guests.


  • Financial Stewardship: Prepare departmental operating budgets, evaluate competitor pricing, analyze processes for efficiency, and recommend capital improvements to maximize profitability.


Candidate Requirements & Qualifications


Background & Experience:

  • A four-year degree or culinary arts program certificate is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of food & beverage management experience with direct P&L responsibility.
  • Proven track record managing operations across multiple restaurant concepts and large-scale event venues (including weddings and banquets).
  • Experience in a resort or member-based hospitality environment is strongly preferred, alongside a history of steady career progression.


Skills & Core Competencies:

  • Outstanding interpersonal, organizational, and administrative skills.
  • Strong proficiency in budgeting, scheduling, planning, and data-driven problem-solving.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build rapport with property owners, guests, and vendors.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel is required. (Experience with Club Management Software, such as Northstar, is a major plus) .
  • Flexibility to work a hospitality schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Ability to regularly communicate clearly and professionally with others.
  • Capability to endure long periods of standing, walking, or sitting in hot or humid environments.
  • Occasional lifting, moving, or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to bend, twist, stoop, and reach overhead or below the knees.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license to operate a vehicle for on-property duties.
