Title of Position: Sommelier
Compensation: $30 to $35.50 per hour plus commission.
Job Description: The Sommelier will serve as our resident wine expert, guiding the overall beverage experience for our guests. The Sommelier is responsible for maintaining complete knowledge of all wines by the glass, major wines on our list, and comprehensive details of vintages, regions, vineyards, and producers. As the Sommelier, you will ensure our guests receive expert recommendations for food and wine pairings. You will manage wine inventory, issue daily requisitions, maintain impeccable organization of the wine cellar, and train the restaurant staff on daily specials and wine characteristics. We rely on your ability to track sales, oversee accurate invoice notations during deliveries, and ensure strict compliance with all state liquor regulations.

Qualifications:
· Certification by the Court of Master Sommeliers as an active "Certified Sommelier" or equivalent is required.
· A minimum of four years of continuous experience in a high-volume, upscale restaurant operation is required for the Sommelier.
· The Sommelier must be passionate about mentoring staff and sharing extensive wine knowledge with the team.
· A keen awareness of global wine trends, top winemakers, regions, and styles is a must.
· The Sommelier must possess the physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs, manage heavy inventory, and stand or walk for up to 8 hours throughout a shift.
